God has put in each of us His finger print.  Some would say that it's a hole that can only be filled by him. Do we understand those places are there in us or on us, if we don't know him?  I think no,? though even before I learned who Jesus Christ was I knew that this world was made by a greater power.
The first time I remember talking to God was when I was two I think.  It was because of beauty, color,  smell, sound and a race to the mail box with my uncle Tony.  It was fall and my family was spending time in wisconsin during the Autumn season.  I thanked God for the grass and the lake, the beautiful trees and for the smells of  lake and fish.
I sat on someone's lap on the boat in the lake maybe it was uncle Tony again. It was moving fast,  I leaned over the side of the boat and felt the water rush hard and cold on my finger tips.
I don't remember talking about God with my family, I only remember this natural world speaking to me about him.  when I was five someone …

Not Much

I have felt lately that I should be putting back more money if I can.  Every time I try something always comes up.  Always! I don't ever seem to be able to get a head!! Its so frustrating!!
Today I read this: Luke 12:16-21 NIV [16] And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. [17] He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' [18] “Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. [19] And I'll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” ' [20] “But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' [21] “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
Of course the very next words that Jesus speaks afte…

Morning Brain

Very often for a good three to four hours after I wake, my brain is quiet.  This is not an every morning acurrents, but thats how my brain works most days. I try really hard to be in the moment in the morning. Having a quiet head allows me to note the people and things around me, the weather, the smells and sounds, the temperature on my skin of the air.
My brain is quiet and when that is the case, it helps me to listen to God through His word.  To be in a place to just put his word in my head instead of all the current cultural craziness of the moment.
