Epic!

In the monkeys flying report today, we learn that there are joys that come from living and doing the sometimes mundane tasks of living day to day. For instance the pleasure of having clean laundry which takes some time to do, but allows a person to do other house hold tasks at the same time, like mop the winter grim off the floors. (winter grime: The stuff that cakes on the floors when you walk through the front door, after a blizzard has hit the day before.) Other tasks to be done while doing laundry are, homework, dishes and listening to the new Hobbit soundtrack which I just down loaded off of iTunes last night. (love it!) Repositioning the view we have from our vantage point is difficult. How do we see past our own day to day tasks and lives? It's hard to see over a pile of,laundry, moping floors, going to a job and taking care of kids or pets or just being available to the people who's lives we are in. How do we have compassion for things that seem to be out of our control? The person that I have to come back to over and over again is God, who, we can't see, but by faith know is here and present. If we take His example of how to pursue the ones we love, and pursue Him in such a way, than he is faithful to give us glimpses of His very real presents in this life, and in his presents, even the things that seem to us, boring, unexciting or uninspired have joy in them. With God the soundtrack of our lives is epic. :)

Singleness Awareness day!

In the monkeys flying report today it’s February 15th , the day after Valentine’s Day, also known as singleness Awareness day. I have always been a fan of Valentine’s Day ever sense I was a little punk. I have always known it as the day that my awesome crazy mom would leave heart shaped candies and baked treats around the house to let us know how much she loved us. On that day she would also make us a valentine’s breakfast. It was always a yummy day. My mom will always be my favorite valentine. When every other single person is having a depressing day remembering that they are, “alone and unhappy,” I am most of the time content and glad to spend the 14th of February celebrating the fact that singleness is good and I’m loving it. As I write this, I am of course aware of the fact that, though I’m so great with just me, there is and always will be in me, a desire to share my life with a husband. I would like to be a wife and mother very much. And so, until that time, I will, wit…

“ Be Still and Know that He is God”

Today’s news Voices In My Head.
Ok I’m not crazy here, but there are very three distinct voices in my mind/head on a regular basis.  Our world especially this scientific culture that I live in would say there is something wrong with my brain.  I have heard these voices very distinct voices as far back in my life as 2 years old.  My voice, God’s voice, and the one that lies, the one that says I don’t measure up.  The one that says I need this that or the other to be happy or fulfilled.
I haven’t always understood the distinction between the voices, the reason for that is sometimes the voices sound like four at once or fifty voices blaring in my head at the top of their lungs screaming for my attenchen the loud ones are usually the lies it is in those times that it becomes very hard to distinguish the three voices.  My voice gets confused.
Here is the thing though, and I am not writing this from a I know it all perspective, because I don’t! I am also not writing this saying that this is…

Matthew 5:37

“Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.”
My eyebrows dance constantly,  my eyes speak,  my mouth,  my nose,  though not a word comes from my lips,
they communicate something that is going on inside of me.  Some emotion is being expressed,  though the outside person may not know what.   It does no good to guess,  I promise!  Do not assume that you know by my expression what I’m thinking or feeling, do not try and guess what goes on inside.  Instead ask.  The outside expressions of my person are just an outside expression,  nothing more,
and with me,  a wise and good friend would have the courage to ask what is really going on inside!
Further more, trying to guess my thoughts or feelings is hurtful to you and me.  One last note. I do my best to say what I mean or feel!!!! I DO NOT say one thing and mean another. I say what I mean to say,  anything different would not be wise.
Say what you mean!  Before you say anything, …
